Who owns my city?
property versus ownership
Residents are often invited to participate in maintaining the quality of life of their city, while our retreating government has made us complicit in the financial burden of progress. While society participates, reorganises and is being cut back, the longstanding fundamental right of property ownership remains unaffected and the yield of public liability goes to private owners.
This exhibition questions the capitalisation of public space. However through infiltration, exposure and reclamation a search has begun to redefine the division between privateproperty and public interest.
